Born in Munich, Ms. Gabler studied at Munich's Hochschule für Musik und Theater (with Prof. Jan-Hendrik Rootering) and took master classes for song interpretation with Prof. Helmut Deutsch, Fritz Schwinghammer, Sena Jurinac and with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

Whilst still a student, she became a member of the Bavarian State Opera's Young Artists Programme.

From 2001/02 to 2004/05 she was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Roles in Düsseldorf and Duisburg included Micaëla in Carmen, Agathe in Der Freischütz, Musetta in La bohème, Freia in Das Rheingold, and Gutrune in Götterdämmerung.

From 2005/06 to 2007/08 she was a member of the opera ensemble at the Staatstheater Nürnberg. Roles in Nuremberg included Miranda in the world premiere of Luca Lombardi's Prospero, Mimì in La bohème, Nedda in I pagliacci, Agathe, Arminda in La finta giardiniera, Hanna Glawari in Die lustige Witwe, Freia and Gutrune.

Guest engagements at the Bavarian State Opera included Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel with Fabio Luisi, 1. Dame in Die Zauberflöte with Ivor Bolton, Hüter der Schwelle des Tempels/Dienerin/Stimme des Falken in Die Frau ohne Schatten and 4. Magd in Elektra with Peter Schneider.

In December 2006 she debuted at the Semperoper Dresden as Gretel in Katharina Thalbach's new production of Hänsel und Gretel (TV relay on ZDF/Arte). Further roles in Dresden included: Agathe with Peter Schneider in December 2008, as well as her role debut as the Daughter in a new production of Cardillac with Fabio Luisi in March 2009.

Since 2007 she has been a regular guest at the Bayreuth Festival as Ortlinde in Die Walküre under the baton of Christian Thielemann; in 2009 she was Senta in Bayreuth's first children's opera production Der fliegende Holländer.

In May 2008 Ms. Gabler gave her debut as Elsa in Lohengrin at the State Theatre in Nuremberg. Shortly thereafter in September 2009 she sang Elsa for the Richard Wagner Verband Minden in a production by John Dew, conducted by Frank Beermann.

In November 2008 she took part in Steve Nieve's Welcome to the Voice (Ghost of Norma) at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; in April 2009 she sang the principal role of Viviane in the first recording of Goldmark's Merlin (Edition Hänssler); in January 2010 she gave her debut as 5. Magd in Elektra at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels.

Conductors she has worked with: Ivor Bolton, Frank Beermann, John Fiore, Alexander Joel, Lothar Koenigs, Fabio Luisi, Christof Perick, Peter Schneider, Christian Thielemann amongst others.

Directors she has worked with: John Dew, Tankred Dorst, Guy Joosten, Christof Loy, Katharina Thalbach amongst others.

In 2012 she sang Gutrune in the highly acclaimed Ring at the Bavarian State Opera. Future engagements include a production of the Ring, in which she will sing Frier, in Amsterdam and in early 2013 she will be performing as Senta at Bologna Opera.
